Max has worked with a wide variety of clients providing all types of services from bookkeeping to auditing.

Personal Interests

Max has two young children to keep him busy. When childcare duties allow, he is most likely to be found on the golf course or watching cricket.

He achieved his AAT qualification with the firm in 2022 and is now studying towards his ACCA, with only a few exams remaining before becoming a Chartered Certified Accountant.

In 2025, Harry was promoted to Client Manager, working alongside Director Alex Sammonds. He manages a diverse portfolio of clients, ranging from self-employed individuals to large multi-million-pound companies.

Personal Interests

Outside of work, Harry is a passionate football fan and a dedicated Charlton Athletic season ticket holder. He spends most weekends travelling across the country to follow his team and even supports England home and away during international breaks.

She began her journey in finance by qualifying with AAT in 2010 and went on to complete her ATT and CTA qualifications in 2014.

Known for her friendly and approachable nature, Jana is always happy to support clients and colleagues alike.

Personal Interests

Outside of work, Jana is passionate about mindfulness and movement. She finds balance through her yoga practice, especially enjoying Iyengar and rocket yoga – her personal favourites. A lover of music, she often listens to Czech and Slovak tunes that remind her of home, though she enjoys a wide range of genres. Weekends are often spent immersed in Spanish literature, helping her sharpen her language skills while discovering new stories. Jana also enjoys being outdoors, whether gardening or walking in nature.

Matt joined Spurling Cannon in 2025 as a Tax Manager and is based at our Charing office. He hopes to gain the STEP accreditation at some stage, in order to strengthen his IHT & estate planning skills. 

Personal Interests

Matt has two young children and loves planning for new experiences for the family to enjoy. Matt is a keen 8 ball pool player and has played in the top league in Ashford for many years. A get together with the lads for a session of Texas Hold’em poker is also something which he tries to fit in as often as he can. Manchester will always be red for Matt, and he hopes that the return of the glory days is just around the corner!

During his time with us, Alex has progressed to a senior accountant and in 2024, following the completion of his ACCA and becoming a qualified chartered accountant, he was made a client manager. 

Working out of our Charing office,  Alex deals with multiple different industries whilst focusing on building strong client relationships.

Personal Interests

With his free time back, you will now find Alex spending his time with his friends and family, but when the chance arises, he chops up the local golf course.

Outside of work, Georgia has a passion for interior design and is always planning new ideas for her ongoing home renovation projects. She is also kept busy by her two dogs, Ethel and Ada, who she loves taking on long and often very muddy walks.

Marguerite loves spending time with her grandchildren. A keen traveller and reader, she likes to enjoy and experiencing what life has to offer. Having recently moved house, Marguerite spends many evenings and weekends decorating and making home improvements.
