Andy started working in practice in 1990 at a small firm in Margate. From there he went onto work in London to gain further experience as an account’s assistant and then manager for high profile clients in the music industry which included the likes of the late George Michael.
After 7 years in London, he decided to come back to Margate to join Alexander Baker as a manager at their office. Some years later Spurling Cannon acquired the Alexander Baker client portfolio and Andy became a manager there in 2007. Andy has been here ever since and is seen as an important member of staff.
Andy is a really approachable and friendly person who prides himself with dealing with all accountancy matters in an accurate and efficient manner.
Personal interests
One of Andy’s biggest passions is playing and promoting pool in Thanet. In his earlier years he was a professional pool player for 13 years and achieved a ranking of no.8 in the country. He still plays pool to a high level today but mainly focuses on trying to build up the Thanet pool scene through social media.
Andy still enjoys going away for long weekends to watch top level pool. He also enjoys going out for walks and eating out at nice restaurants.
Andy was lucky enough to have the opportunity to oversee the building of a new house where he plans to live. This has become a very exciting experience for him.
