Key Responsibilities
- Bank Reconciliations – Accurately reconcile client bank accounts and maintain up-to-date records.
- Accounts Preparation – Assist in the preparation of accounts for a variety of clients.
- VAT Returns – Prepare and submit VAT returns in compliance with HMRC regulations and deadlines.
- Client Bookkeeping – Maintain accurate financial records, including processing of sales, purchases, receipts, and payments.
- Client Liaison – Communicate with clients to resolve queries and provide timely updates, ensuring a high standard of service delivery.
- Regulatory Compliance – Ensure all work complies with relevant accounting standards and HMRC regulations.
Candidate Requirements
- AAT Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) is essential.
- Previous experience in an accountancy practice is desirable but not essential.
- Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software is advantageous but not essential.
